Create and decorate your Venetian mask in Cannaregio with a master artisan

Duration: 2 meetings of approximately 2 hours each

In the heart of Cannaregio, this experience dedicated to Venetian masks takes you into one of Venice's most iconic artisanal traditions. In two consecutive meetings, you will create a papier-mâché mask from scratch and decorate it following the traditional techniques of Venetian mask makers.

During the first meeting, you will sculpt your mask by working with papier-mâché using traditional artisan techniques. The next day, you will return to the workshop to hand-decorate it using colors, finishes, and details inspired by the aesthetics of the Carnival of Venice, guided step by step in an authentic and creative atmosphere.
